Hours of Operation

Got a late start on your day? No worries! You can still have a blast. Epperson Lagoon is open daily. The park is open at 10 am and closes a 8 pm. Do not worry about having to pay for parking as visitors can park for free. While the summer season is the optimal season to enjoy the lagoon, you can visit the Epperson Lagoon all year round. You can purchase an all day pass, but again if you cannot make it in the morning, then there is a late day pass that lets you in at 3 pm.

A Day at Epperson Lagoon

When you and your family arrive at Epperson Lagoon in Wesley Chapel, Florida, you can delight in an exciting day in the water. You can spend hours relaxing on a tropical beach catching some rays. You can also take multiple trips down the water slide. Gather the entire family or your friends for a game of beach volleyball. Tired of staying in the same spot? You and your spouse should take a dip in the water and swim to Gasparilla Island that is at the lagoon. When you get tired, you can park it on your towel or on a beach chair under an umbrella for a reprieve. If you need more shade and space for your group, you can rent a tiki hut or a cabana.

Grab a Bite

While you cannot bring food or drinks into the park, you can get food at The Reef Café or the lagoon’s food truck. The Reef Cafe offers tasty eats like a grilled cheese, burger, chicken finger basket, or hot dog. There are also fries, pizza, or a big soft pretzel. You can order popcorn or chips with salsa, pico de gallo, or queso for the entire group. If you need something fresher to eat, then there are salads and a fruit cup. If you dine at the food truck, you can opt for scrumptious tacos, wings, and more.

Add-On Activities

While a full day in the water and on the beach is enough for a great time, you can also add activities onto your day pass. You can get a little competitive with some bumper boats. Challenge yourself on the Water Obstacle Course. You can also rent paddle boards and kayaks to paddle around in the water.
