With summer coming to an end, it’s time to reset your mind and body with these tips from LinkedIn. Summer is a great time to disconnect from the busy work year, but getting back into a routine with your daily responsibilities can be tough. Regroup from summer with these tips that will help you reset for the coming fall months.

  1. Be Patient – Getting back to a regular routine isn’t something you can jump into. You may want to start considering organizing daily items, take a step back, and take things one step at a time. Diving into a new season or month can be discouraging and may leave you asking yourself where to start. Patience means trusting things to be okay and work out.
  2. Go Back To The Basics – Summer can be hit or miss; you may have gotten plenty of sleep or not enough, so it may be time to go back to the basics. Take care of your well-being and try to stay active so that you’ll be able to get plenty of sleep.
  3. Focus On What You Can Control – There are bound to be hiccups along the way, so make sure you can only focus on what you can control. Set boundaries as to what you’re going to focus on as you transition back to your daily routine. Consider writing down what you can and cannot control, no matter how small; this can help you bring things into perspective.
  4. Start Small – Don’t put too much on your plate and start small. If your nutrition is off, you should focus on eating three healthy meals daily. If you need more exercise, you should focus on working out once or twice daily. If you believe you’ve neglected yourself, practice self-love and pamper yourself.
  5. Build Momentum – Write down your goals and build momentum to cross various tasks off the list. This can be as simple as getting eight hours of sleep at night or joining a group of friends that will hold you accountable.
