The Dance Studio

TaTo Salsa is conveniently located in Tampa, Florida, which is less than half an hour away from Wesley Chapel. The studio is owned by husband and wife team – Juan “TaTo” and Cristina Paredes. Juan and his family have been a part of the Tampa dance community for the last ten years, but Juan’s experience is even more extensive than that. He has taught classes and workshops and been a part of dance communities in Spanish Harlem New York City, Chicago, and of course Tampa. Because of his knowledge, Juan has been invited to teach at workshops and festivals in locations such as Japan, Mexico, Aruba, and all over the U.S. Juan and his wife Cristina help teach Tampa and Wesley Chapel residents an array of Latin dance styles that include salsa and mambo (salsa on 2). Juan and Cristina’s dance studio also employs a team of dance instructors who are knowledgeable in other dance styles like kizomba, bachata, merengue, etc.

Lessons & Workshops

The instructors at TaTo Salsa offer a range of dance classes throughout the week that cater to your experience level and dance preference. There are beginner classes in salsa and mambo as well as intermediate classes in both styles. Other classes include casino salsa style and bachata. Along with group classes, the studio provides private lessons as well. These private lessons are great for one-on-one coaching to improve your skills and for couples or groups who want to practice for a special event such as a wedding, party, or quinceañera. For more extensive work, you should try signing up for available workshops that TaTo Salsa offers throughout the year as well.

Social Events

After you learn your favorite Latin dance styles, you want to show off the dance skills you have acquired. This is why social events are the best! In fact, at the end of April, TaTo Salsa is hosting Sunday de Sabrosura on the 28th from 3 pm to 8 pm. The dance studio also hosts other monthly dance socials like Thursday Tumbao.
